Our latest CFB 26 tool helps determine the optimal pitch for when you schedule a recruit for a visit. I know the initial reaction to this will be, “Why is this tool at all necessary?”
In order to answer that question, we have to reference a study that we did back in July (behind a paywall) showing that maxing out recruiting influence during visits isn’t as simple as pitching the highest graded green check mark.
The main takeaway is that for scheduling visits, dealbreakers can matter a lot (but not always). The article goes over it in much greater detail for those that absolutely must know how the exact logic works.
Note: 90% of the content we release is and always will be 100% free. If you want to support our ability to keep creating these free tools and doing in-depth research we’d love for you to join CollegeFootball.gg All Access.
That being said, everything we found in our members only study is coded into our latest free tool called the CFB 26 Visit Optimizer!
A Helpful Example
The concept of how our new tool works and why it is helpful can be better explained using an example.
Let’s say you are recruiting a player with the following green check marks:
- A Brand Exposure
- A- Proximity To Home (Dealbreaker)
- C Playing Time
In that scenario most people would schedule a visit with the emphasis being on Brand Exposure since that has the highest grade. However, scheduling the A- Proximity To Home dealbreaker would give you a bigger influence boost (all else being equal).

But it isn’t as simple as Dealbreaker = Recruiting Boost.
In another hypothetical scenario where you had different grades that were:
- B Brand Exposure
- B- Proximity To Home (Dealbreaker)
- C Playing Time
You would be better off pitching the “B” Brand Exposure non-dealbreaker over the B- Proximity To Home dealbreaker.

All of this logic is coded into the Visit Optimizer. All you have to do is input your dealbreaker grade as well as your highest green checkmark non-dealbreaker grade into the 2 boxes. Our calculator will take care of the rest.
