Every handful of years EA Sports updates the controls, this is one of those years. Along with the defensive custom adjustments, the controller layout on the defensive side of the ball has completely changed in CFb 27!
If you are attempting to make your defensive adjustments based on muscle memory from previous games, you are going to be very confused and your defense will be wildly out of place.
Below you can find a quick reference on the new defensive controls in CFB 27 for both XBOX and PlayStation controllers:
- LB / L1 – Macros/Pre-Set Custom Adjustments
- RB / R1 – Coverage Shells + QB Contain
- LT / L2 – Global Coverage Adjustments
- Y / Triangle – Individual Coverage Adjustments
- RS Right – Linebacker Adjustments
- RS Left – Defensive Line Adjustments
Controls on offense are mostly the same with the one change being that you can no longer motion players with the D-Pad, only the left stick (after scrolling over and selecting the player you want to send in motion).
