Today’s been a busy day for EA Sports College Football 25 news. An ESPN article confirmed that real life coaches will not be in the game.
That means no head coaches and no offensive/defensive coordinators.
The focus right now is on the very large undertaking of getting over 10,000 student athletes into the game but in future releases, EA does plan to try to get some coaches into the game.
Here’s the direct quote from the ESPN article:
“Real-life coaches like Kirby Smart or Lane Kiffin will not be in EA Sports College Football 25. Holt said the focus has been on the players, the schools and the traditions in this version of the game.
It doesn’t mean coaches are forever going to be out of the game. Sean O’Brien, EA Sports vice president of business development, told ESPN the company is considering ways to “offer coaches the opportunity to opt in beyond Year 1.”
While real coaches won’t be in this year’s game, at least six ESPN personalities will be.
