The first major news for EA Sports College Football 25 will be revealed on February 15th, 2024 according to Matt Brown of the Extra Points newsletter.
Colleges that will be in the new game, set to be released in July, will share graphics via their social media accounts to confirm their participation.
A few minutes ago he posted this on X (formerly Twitter):
“Multiple school-based sources have told me to expect a small EA Sports CFB update on Feb 15, when schools will share social graphics confirming their participation in the game.”
The expectation is that every FBS team will be in the game but it is still too early to 100% confirm that.
There is a road ahead for the marketing team at EA Sports so don’t expect a trailer or commercial, like the one filmed at the Rose Bowl last month.
Here is some of the other EA Sports College Football information we’ve learned:
- The game will only be on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S (with a chance it also comes to PC)
- It will not be on PlayStation 4 or XBOX One
- Dynasty Mode, Ultimate Team, and Road To Glory will all be in the game
- Commentary will be done by ESPN personalities
- The game will be built on the Frostbite Engine (the same engine Madden uses)
Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 15th!

That’s bull not on PS 4
Gonna ruin it using that shitty ass frostbite engine, can’t wait to see players fly 30 ft in the air
Frostbite engine is known to be buggy asf and not for sports games, madden 2.0 here we come
Let’s gooo !! I remember how cool I thought it was to play this and the stadium was in my town.
