Play: PA Verticals
Setup:
- Make sure you are on (or near) the left hash mark
Reads:
- Your primary read on this play is always the A/X receiver in the seam
- If he is covered, look to your RB/R1 receiver on the crossing route or your running back as a checkdown
Overview: This play does an excellent job of beating the common zone defenses like Cover 2, Cover 3, and Cover 4. You just have to wait a little longer against cover 2 defenses.
