Kirk Herbstreit revealed today on his sons’ podcast that there will be multiple broadcast teams in EA Sports’ College Football 25 video game.
Here’s the direct quote, “I think there’s going to be, as you’re doing different games, there’ll be different broadcast teams doing the game. That’s a major difference between what it’s been in the past and what they are going to do now.”
Before you get too excited let me point out that Herbstreit said “multiple broadcast teams” not “multiple broadcast networks.”
It’s still certainly possible that we could see broadcast teams from CBS or FOX in the game, but it’s beginning to look more and more unlikely with already at least seven commentators from ESPN already confirmed and none from other networks.
If you are interested, you can check out the full hour long podcast below. The major bombshell comes around the 2:54 mark.
They also touch on a wide variety of game related issues like Arch Manning becoming the first player to publicly opt out while 10,000 other players have already opted in.
